Thanks to Stir Crazy, Indianapolis’ Castleton Square is adding to its bragging rights. Indiana’s largest mall will be home to the second Stir Crazy restaurant in the Indianapolis area – and all of Indiana as well! The Chicago-based chain of Asian restaurants has made a commitment to the state’s capital by announcing its plan to open a second location at the newly renovated Castleton Square, located at 6020 East 82nd Street, on December 17, bringing with it 100 new jobs. The opening of Castleton Square’s Stir Crazy is just in time for shoppers to enjoy a great meal to sustain them through their holiday gift buying spree. The restaurant’s opening follows the recent November 8th opening of Indiana’s first Stir Crazy at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana.
Beginning at 11 a.m., December 17, holiday shoppers will be invited to put down their bags and pick up their forks to sample some of what makes people nationwide crazy about Stir Crazy – the food! The holiday grand-opening will be filled with fun and delicious tasting samples of Stir Crazy’s signature dishes, including hand-rolled Potstickers, Chicken Satay, Chinese 5 Spiced Ribs and more. The morning begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony in which Stir Crazy Chef Ambassador Rodelio Aglibot, better known as “The Food Buddha,” will slice open the ribbon with a cleaver before leading guests inside for a ceremonial “first firing of the woks.” Chef Rod will mingle and greet guests throughout the grand opening day.
“Indianapolis already has one of the hottest restaurant scenes in the Midwest, and we’re going to fire up that mix with our own fresh flavors,” said Greg Carey, President and Chief Operating Officer of Stir Crazy. “Bottom line: Indy residents can do Asian food any way they want to at Stir Crazy. Whether it’s one of our new innovative entrees like our Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork Tenderloin or a delicious traditional dish like Sweet & Sour Chicken, our menu has something for all tastes.”
The Castleton Square restaurant has the distinction of being the 11th Stir Crazy restaurant nationwide. Stir Crazy offers a diverse menu of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food, in a fun, vibrant atmosphere with a focus on fresh, quality ingredients and bold flavors. Stir Crazy’s highly-acclaimed menu features everything from traditional favorites like Pad Thai and Teriyaki Chicken to specialty dishes such as Wasabi Salmon, Japanese Steak and Fuji Tuna Salad.
