STIR CRAZY FRESH ASIAN GRILL INTRODUCES “CRAZY FEATURES: RIGHT SIZE AND PRICE” MENU
Critically-acclaimed casual Asian restaurant makes going out part of an affordable routine again
Mar 23,2009
For those who like delicious food (who doesn’t?) and eating out, Stir Crazy has great economic news to announce! Anyone can find a right size and price full-service meal at Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill. On March 23, Stir Crazy debuts its new menu that includes “Crazy Features: Right Size and Price for $8.88.” This section has eight great-tasting meals that prove dining out doesn’t have to be a luxury. These dishes were previously offered for a limited time only during lunch, now the “Right Size and Price for $8.88” is playing a starring role on the new menu and is available all day, every day. Yet to Stir Crazy, having these eight great priced dishes still didn’t seem like quite enough to offer its Guests so a ninth dish was added – the Bánh Mí. This traditional Vietnamese sandwich is served in Vietnam at cafes and by street vendors, yet in the U.S. the Bánh Mí is difficult to find outside of Vietnamese restaurants…until now! The Bánh Mí – and the rest of Stir Crazy’s fantastic foods -- can be found at Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill’s 14 locations in Northbrook, IL, Oakbrook, IL, Schaumburg, IL, Warrenville, IL, Indianapolis, IN, Greenwood, IN, Creve Coeur, MO, Auburn Hills, MI, Lyndhurst, OH, West Nyack, NY, Brookfield, WI, Pembroke Pines, FL, Boca Raton, FL, and Estero, FL.
Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill is an award-winning, full service casual dining restaurant that specializes in Asian-inspired dishes from countries all across Asia. It was honored as a 2008 “Hot Retailer” by the International Council of Shopping Centers. The “Crazy Features: Right Size and Price for $8.88” meals keep Stir Crazy a hot retailer in this cool economic climate. Eight of the featured meals come with a vegetable spring roll. The ninth dish, the extraordinary Bánh Mí sandwich, is served on a crispy baguette – a nod to Vietnam’s French history – with a side of Asian slaw. This hot sandwich is made to order with a choice of Chicken Breast, Chicken Satay, Ahi Tuna Sashimi or Sloppy Cho Pork BBQ – a Stir Crazy twist! Earlier this year, Stir Crazy asked its 14 restaurants, located in eight Midwest, Southeast and Northeast states, to submit new dishes for the menu. The Sloppy Cho Pork BBQ was suggested and created for the restaurants by the Stir Crazy team in Creve Coeur, MO.
Other “Right Size and Price” menu items include: Teriyaki Chicken; Kung Pao Chicken; Sesame Chicken; Buddha’s Teriyaki Bowl – a vegetarian choice of edamame, carrots, yellow squash, zucchini, broccoli and red peppers tossed in Stir Crazy’s teriyaki sauce; Pad Thai Chicken; Sweet & Spicy Chicken; Chinese Chicken Salad; and Mongolian Beef.
“At Stir Crazy, we recognize the responsibility to our Guests to continue providing them with great food and service at reasonable prices. As a result, we are pleased to offer this pricing and quality option,” says Greg Carey, President and COO of Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill.
Main Menu Items Added As Well In addition to Stir Crazy’s new value featured items, two new items make their way onto the main menu page: Thai BBQ Noodles is a dish created by the Stir Crazy team in Northbrook, IL. This dish features Shanghai noodles, tomatoes, onions, carrots, red peppers, snow peas and cilantro tossed in Stir Crazy’s Thai BBQ sauce. Guests choose to add Chicken ($12.50), Beef ($13.50) or Shrimp ($14.50) to the mix. The Crazy Coco Lime Shrimp comes from the imagination of the Stir Crazy team in Boca Raton, FL. Carrots, red peppers and snow peas are tossed with shrimp in a tangy coconut lime sauce and served with brown rice or lo-mein noodles ($14.50).
These new dishes join Stir Crazy’s more than 50 appetizers, entrees, desserts and its popular Market Bar, where diners can create their own Stir Crazy wok-tossed dish from more than 20 fresh ingredients and eight sauces. A Stir Crazy highlight is the full-service bar available at all Stir Crazy locations, featuring an extensive drink menu with a list of 35 quality and award-winning wines available by the glass or bottle. Beer, sake and several signature drinks are also available, and non-alcoholic choices include Passion Fruit Spritzer and Thai Iced Coffee, to name a few.
Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill offers a diverse menu of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food with a focus on fresh, quality ingredients and bold flavors. Guests can count on the freshest, healthiest fare: all menu items are prepared from scratch with no added MSG and with minimal oil.
With 14 restaurants currently operating in the eight states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, Missouri, New York, Michigan and Wisconsin, Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill plans to open two new locations this year and five to eight new restaurants in 2010.
